Themis is the Republican Minority Leader in the Connecticut State House of Representatives. Greg is an executive vice president and general counsel of Eversource Energy. They were potential political rivals when they met, both exploring a run for governor. At the time, Greg was nervous about the idea of romance: he had recently lost his wife, Nancy, to A.L.S.

A mutual political consultant who believed the pair were the two strongest candidates recommended they meet. When they finally sat down for dinner to talk business, it ended up feeling more like a date, and a year-and-a-half later, Greg proposed. They were married at Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange, and during the reception, Greg remarked to his guests that when he met Themis, it felt like the sun came back out, the world seemed beautiful once more, and he could smile again. He went on to say that in many ways she, "brought me back to life." Congratulations Themis and Greg!
