Hi, I'm Chris.

I am a husband, a father of two wonderful little people, a twin. I am not originally from Manchester, a city just east of Hartford, Connecticut, but Manchester is where I have landed. I set down roots with my wife in this place known as The Silk City. We started a family here, are raising our two daughters here, and because of this, we feel an attachment to this town in unexpected ways. There is often a deep connection between people and place, and we've experienced that.

I work as a photographer and have made a living as one my entire adult life. I started in journalism and still accept photographic commissions for national and international publications. I also make pictures for corporate, commercial, and non-profit clients; I work on long and short-form documentaries and have been trusted to photograph hundreds of weddings near and far. Some photographers do many things with a camera, making it difficult to pin them down as just one type of picture-maker; I am one of those and wouldn't have it any other way.

I am an author of one monograph and a collaborator of one feature-length documentary film. I have taught workshops on the documentary tradition and have been invited to teach as a visiting artist for a semester at a Tier 1 University. My pictures have been exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S. and abroad, and have received numerous grants and awards.

I love that I've had a career so rich, full, and varied. It is humbling, and I am profoundly grateful and fortunate.
