Emma and Harry married on November 29, 2020, at the height of the pandemic, in the backyard of Emma's childhood home with a small group of close family. It's a shared experience among many couples today. Nearly a year-and-a-half later, they celebrated with a short ceremony at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Chatham before a group of 19 people, followed by a welcome dinner at the Chatham Bars Inn that evening. Two days later, they gathered again, this time with a slightly larger group— 120 in total, at Eastward Ho! for an evening of hors d'oeuvres, speeches, music, and dancing. After her father's toast, Emma remarked that all of the guests on Saturday hadn't seen their "first kiss." She quickly turned to Harry, and everyone erupted with laughter, as did I. I loved getting to know many of their guests by name and hearing stories about these two. A heartfelt congratulations to you both!
